School of Social Work
September 2006 - March 2007
The School of Social Work website was by far the largest site we had worked on when we began in September of 2006. Their old site was a twisting labyrinth of links leading to hundreds of pages seemingly at random. Finding anything in the site was quite a challenge, and the redesign decided to make good navigation and site organization a top priority.
Many university home pages feature nothing but photos and mission statements, and another goal of the redesign was to develop a homepage that was filled with useful content. I think in the end we succeeded in vastly improving how useful the site is to visitors, as well as setting the mark of what's possible within the framework of the new UConn Web Standards.
